Subjects in wood abound. Carvings, logs, doors, sheds. All would make very good little pictures to put in letters or other comunication. Simplicity is the main thing to remember here.

There are other ways with leaves, single leaves, groups of leaves.  Here are some other examples to consider when deciding on a selection for your design.

This is some leaves Two or three washes of colour, then finish off with detail. However, too mutch detail may well spoil the spontaneous freshness of the base washes and deaden the picture irretrievably.There are different ways to paint leaves. The design can be single leaves or groupings. Decide which will suit your picture best.
